We recommend isolated jacks if you are planning to use this with your amp's FX Loop or perhaps two amps at a time. The benefit is that some pedals and amps do not like to share the ground connection, this causes a hum or buzz in the audio lines. With isolated jacks, all connections keep their own ground, therefore avoiding possible hum and buzz.
